CC-46. Continental Currency. July 22, 1776. $30. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. No. 49576. Latin motto SI RECTE FACIES, which Newman translates "If you act righteously you will be honored after death." This $30 denomination shows the dual emblem back with motifs designed by Benjamin Franklin. Beginning with this issue, the $30 note replaced the $1 note and was found in each emission henceforward. An extremely scarce note in any uncirculated grade, a fact which is bore out by the grading Population reports. Between the two services there have been a mere trio of notes that scored higher than the Choice CU 63 grade level. An impressive Continental that will become the cornerstone of any collection it enters.
