CC-15. Continental Currency. November 29, 1775. $5. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. No. 63050. Sharply signed by Smith and Grissim. A hand bleeds from the prick of a thorny bush in the emblem at left along with the motto "SUSTINE VEL ABSTINE," which can be understood as "Bear with me or leave me alone." This broadly margined $5 note is sharply printed in bold black inks. PMG comments "Annotation" on the back of the holder for a small collectors mark in one of the back corners. The note is otherwise entirely original. From the Q. David Bowers Collection.
