Saint Louis, Missouri. $10 1902 Red Seal. Fr. 613. The Washington NB. Charter #6773. PMG About Uncirculated 50.This elusive St. Louis bank issued 1902 Red Seals and Date Backs only, as it was open for just eight short years. This newly discovered note puts the census at a total of 15. Prior to this discovery, the finest known was a low end very fine, and the finest to ever be offered at auction was a problematic Very Good. This note is seen with large margins all around with full top selvage. A deep cherry red seal is nicely embossed into the frosty white paper. Superb penned signatures contrast nicely with the latter. PMG Comments Small Tears which are just that, two very minor margins tears at left which do not enter the design, and effect very little if at all on the over all eye appeal of this peach.
