NGC EF-40.Dav-8229; Hede-17. <strong>VERY SCARCE</strong> like most Danish Speciedalers of the period and seemingly the first appearance in a U.S. auction in over five years. Well struck, and preserved in wholesome quality, this piece possesses alluring tone over the surfaces that is mostly gray in the open fields and transitions to a warm antique golden hue around much of the legends. A few trivial planchet imperfections appear in the centers upon close inspection, but these are somewhat commonplace for the issue, and have limited influence on the overall presentation.From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II.
