There were relatively few bond paper Specimen notes in the 1990 ABN sale, especially compared with the number of India paper proofs. Issued notes from the bank are very rare and these are very collectible. This has a handsome face with a blue back. A better condition pair realized $2,040 in the first Eldorado sale in January 2018. This is noted with printer’s annotation (date in the face gutter) and as previously mounted (a paper strip at the right back end). This faces up beautifully.
