Blue Ball, Pennsylvania. $10 1902 Plain Back. Fr. 626. The Blue Ball NB. Charter #8421. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.A well signed and bright $10 Plain Back from one of the most popular titles in all of National Currency collecting. This example comes amply margined on clean, moderately circulated paper. Blue Ball is located in Lancaster County and was named for the Blue Ball Hotel which was built in what was then called Earl Town in the mid-18th Century. Owner John Wallace hung a blue ball from a post in front of the hotel which he called the "Sign of the Blue Ball." Locals soon called the town Blue Ball and the name was officially changed to that in 1833. Under bidders of this lot are sure to find themselves sorely disappointed.
