EF Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS).，A sharply struck example with ample boldness of detail evident despite an overall rough texture that explains the PCGS qualifier. The strike is a bit off center toward 6 oclock on the obverse and 12 oclock on the reverse, affecting only the denticulation. Dominant ruddy-brown patina with mottled gray and gold highlights that are more extensive on the reverse. There are only two die marriages known for the 1811-dated large cent issue, S-286 easily distinguished from S-287 as an overdate. A scarce variety, and also a conditionally challenging type, offered here at a more affordable level of preservation.，，
