Satiny and lustrous light silver gray with faint olive overtones. A few traces of the underlying brass are noted on the highest points, but nearly all of the silvering is intact. What appear to be thin scratches on the obverse appear as made under close inspection. Sharp, satiny and very attractive. Abraham Demarest lived in New York at 179 East 50th Street and is known to have made several issues including the dies for the Washington "Crutchett" plaques and so-called dollar, HK-135.
