This is a nicely retoned rose and pearl gray example struck on a planchet with prominent straight clips at the left and right borders. One of numerous Noe-5 Oak Tree shillings with the tree softly defined, but the peripheral lettering on the obverse is bolder save for at the lower right periphery. The reverse is overall sharper, although a few peripheral letters are blunt and/or partially off the flan. A bit muted in appearance due to the stated qualifier, yet smooth and with a relatively pleasing appearance due to the retoning.
