Undated (Circa 1663-1672) St. Patrick Halfpenny. W-11540, Vlack 1-A. Copper. Reeded Edge. Large Letters. VF-20.,123.7 grains. Ruddy to dark brown in the fields, the high points worn to a rich olive-brown hue with some very subtle hairlines visible under magnification. A pleasing, well-centered St. Patrick Halfpenny, the usual high rims slightly worn down to the tops of the legends in places where the legends are tight to the rim. The crude edge reeds are faint but visible, the brass splasher toned dark brown in the middle third of the crown. Positive eye appeal makes this an ideal representative in a Colonial type set.
