Original shank. Single piece. The surfaces have a beautiful, medium golden brass color with the back darker, as expected. GW in script letters in the center, LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT in raised letters around, sun rays around the middle, outer border of depressions within which are tiny crosses. Extremely rare: Albert rated this R-6; in his estimation there are only three to five known specimens. Cobb knew of only three different examples (his, Wilsons, and Shurkos). There was one in S.H. Chapmans Parsons sale (1914), lot 585, described as "the only one I have seen.
