Undated (circa 1862) Washington Oath of Allegiance medal / Wreath Reverse. Silver. 30 mm. Musante GW-477, Baker-279T, Julian CM-3. MS-61 (NGC).,Dark blue and gray on both sides with a nuance of soft rose at the central reverse. Struck at the U.S. Mint using the Oath of Allegiance obverse paired with a new reverse featuring a wreath around an open field. Apparently intended as an award medal suitable for something specific, but according to Musante, only 26 were struck in silver between 1862 and 1863, and we do not recall having seen one inscribed.
