1793 Flowing Hair Cent. Wreath Reverse. S-6. Rarity-3--Plain Edge--VG-8 BN (NGC).;An intriguing and attractive example of this desirable early type painted in a marbling of rich chocolate brown hues. The surfaces are largely smooth and glossy in-hand, despite a trivial microgranularity apparent under magnification. The iconic motifs are uniformly discernible on each side, left without notable abrasions or regions of softness. An old mark in front of Libertys nose has been long worn into the surfaces, though trivial rim bumps at the right obverse and lower reverse should be noted. Curiously, the edge of this piece appears to have been left plain, entirely evading the Vine and Bars or Lettered motifs that were employed for this issue. A cluster of planchet flaws occupies the obverse border above LIB of LIBERTY, though this fails to distract from the overall aesthetic. This piece delivers an overall charming experience in-hand and surely deserves close inspection.;
