1871 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS).；This fully struck 1871 half dollar is brilliant apart from subtle golden rim highlights. Bold cameo contrast on the obverse goes unmentioned on the PCGS insert, although the reverse is uniformly mirrored in finish. As a group Proof Liberty Seated half dollars from the 1860s and early 1870s are scarcer than their counterparts from the 1879 to 1891 era.；From our (Stacks) session of Auction 81, July 1981, part of lot 1673.
