NGC AU Details--Cleaned.珍罕臆造币，臆造一币难求之民国十八年孙中山像样币（L&M-88）。此版应为私铸，无背，双正面设计，独树一帜，两面均为孙中山肖像。温乔将其归类为银质伪币，然近数十年来市场难觅其踪。虽有陈年清洗，但瑕不掩瑜，币面已重新覆上诱人包浆。此枚设计奇特，远胜寻常臆造币，料将引发藏家热烈竞投。cf. An <strong>EXTREMELY RARE</strong> fantasy imitation that mirrors the supremely elusive 1929 Sun Yat-sen Pattern (L&M-88). This example, clearly made with non-official dies, is further distinguished by not having a reverse design, but rather two obverses and, therefore, two depictions of Sun Yat-sen. The type is plated in Wenchao as a "silver forgery," though the type we cannot find trading on the numismatic market in recent decades. The piece does display an old cleaning, though it does present relatively well, with some toning recoloring the surfaces. Given the unusual nature for the piece, even more so than other Fantasies, we expect many excited bids for this representative.
