Though bearing the cyclical date corresponding to 1885, this fantasy issue no doubt was produced well after the reign of its focal point, Kuang-hsu. Nevertheless, it remains in an excellent state of preservation for the type, and offers a delightful mix of toning and remaining brilliance to elevate its appeal that much more. A charming and more refined rendition among fantasy issues that can tend to veer into more stylized natures.
