A beautiful Superb Gem with direct lighting calling forth iridescent champagne-apricot and powder blue undertones, as well as appreciable reflectivity from the fields. Otherwise warmly toned in autumn-brown with softly frosted, fully impressed motifs. Copper impressions from these dies were produced to the extent of 85 pieces, and this is one of the nicest that we can recall handling in recent decades.
