Collectors will know that the issued 1, 5 and 10 Yuan of this series were printed by the American Bank Note Company as commissioned by the Chinese Ministry of Finance. Unfortunately, in 1915, the ship that carried the crates with the notes was lost at sea, and with it the 600 Million Yuan in freshly printed notes.
