A great <strong>RARITY</strong> that employs the cash-style dragon on one side and elegant calligraphy, a thatched border, and floral-style rosettes on the other, this wondrous, nearly-Choice offering features a rather deep iridescent tone across both sides. The central portions are lighter and steely gray in hue, with a subtle cabernet aspect quickly taking over. At the peripheries, an intense cobalt nature dominates, perfectly encapsulating the great eye appeal contained therein.<p><p><em>This Dollar is a representative of the first set of Tai Ching Ti Kuo silver coinage. These issues--struck in limited quantities with a familiar obverse design based upon the imperial copper issues beginning in 1906--were placed into circulation and, in less than a year, were replaced by the 1908 issues.</em>
