CANADA. Banque du Canada. 100 Dollars, 1935. BC-16. French Text. PMG Very Fine 25.Prince Henry is featured on the left side of this rare and increasingly popular French text variety. While the $100 French text is not as rare as the $500, it had a very limited print run of only 17,500 notes, much fewer than the 87,500 notes produced with English text. Because the Bank of Canada switched to a bilingual note format with its 1937 issue the 1935 remains very popular, possibly also helped by the presence of the portraits of the British Royalty on this series. This example is evenly circulated in mid-grade condition, with just a small split, making it a scarce and desirable example that will be welcomed by even the most advanced collectors.
