The bright orange front features Prince Edward of Wales, the later King Edward VIII, while the reverse highlights the bold Electric Power vignette. Deceptively scarce in uncirculated grades, the present example is prevented from achieving a Gem grade by its narrow margins, although that is not atypical for this series, which is known for its often mediocre centering. One of the few notes with the portrait of the later King Edward VIII, who abdicated shortly after ascending to the throne due to his scandalous marriage with American socialite and divorcée Wallace Simpson and very popular as such.From the Ken Barrett Collection.
