极罕版别，建国初期的最大面值。近精选状态，铸打利落，无可挑剔。光芒闪烁，暖橙金色环绕图文，品相数一数二。PCGS评级中仅五枚更高分。标准的袁世凯朝左侧脸像，反面图文亦较常规。新奇的是两面币缘饰以仿古龙首纹饰，趣味十足。2022年香港5月拍卖有一枚类似拍品，编号51178，获评PCGS MS-62，以288,000美元成交。L&M-1029; Fr-4; K-1530; KM-Y-331; WS-0058.
An exceptional representative of an <strong>EXTREMELY RARE</strong> type, <em>and one that stands as the largest denomination of the still-fledgling Republic</em>, this nearly-Choice offering is no doubt among the finest that one can ever hope to encounter, presenting a crisp, scintillating strike, dazzling lustrous brilliance, and a warming golden-orange tone around the devices. Surpassed by just five others in the PCGS census, this denomination displays the rather standard left-facing profile of Yuan Shih-kai along with a fairly usual approach toward the reverse, but features an interesting border design upon each side that consists of stylized dragon heads. Compare to a similar example, also a PCGS MS-62, that realized a total of $288,000 in our May 2022 Hong Kong Auction (Lot # 51178).
