Well-centered full cross-lions-castles and pillars-and-waves with full crown and ample legend on both sides (including full and bold C.II for Charles II, light contrasting sediment in crevices. It is interesting to note that the cross sides of the 1697/6 issues (like this coin) do not match the known 1696 issues, which lack crossbar ends.
