拍品描述： 1849 Zachary Taylor Indian Peace Medal. Bronze. Second Size. Second Reverse. Julian IP-28, Prucha-47. MS-64 BN (NGC). 62.3 mm. 1858.7 grains. Attractive mahogany brown with subtle unevenness in the reverse patina while the obverse is pleasantly uniform. Finely satin surfaces exhibit almost no handling marks, and the eye appeal is superb. Boldly struck as usual, with wire rims around. Though the reverse die used here was that intended for all original Taylor medals, this size in bronze is found struck with both the first reverse and second reverse dies, though this pairing is that usually encountered.
