(t) CHINA. Tibet. Tangka, ND (1763/4 or 1785). PCGS AU-50. L&M-Unlisted; K-Unlisted; KM-C-A10; WS-0242A. Suchakra type. Undoubtedly one of the finest of the type that one can hope to encounter, this tremendous survivor presents great detail remaining in the seal script that populates the central fields of the obverse and reverse. Some deeper brown, gray, and green notes augment the recesses, while the relief stands in a lighter gray contrast. Not surprisingly, the finest of just seven seen at PCGS for the type ( of note, the other six examples are listed under different line items within the PCGS census, where the basis instead was the WS number, and not the KM number ). As such, an incredibly RARE opportunity for the advanced collector of Tibetan issues.
