Small Edge Repairs, Minor Design Redrawn.By this point, most collectors are familiar with the recovery of most of the known examples of this note from the fire at the Old Post Office in Washington D.C. on December 13, 1935. Washington Issue, payable at the Federal Reserve Board and dated June 7, 1917. Perforation cancel at left, reading "U.S.T. / +6:29:17, (cancellation by the U.S. Treasury on June 29,1917). Three vertical folds, consistent with the grade, with four clear margins, and some light staining at the top. The note, graded VF 20 Details by PCGS Banknote has had some minor work, as many have, with PCGS noting "Small Edge Repairs, Minor Design Redrawn" on the back of the holder. Despite this, an acceptable copy of this impressive issue, and a nice showpiece.
