Signatures of William Coats and John Williams (who was a member of the Continental Congress). Emblem at right of bowl on an acanthus plant with "Depressa Resurgit" (though crushed it recovers) above. This is the finest note graded by either PCGS Banknote and PMG, for the catalog number. This note offers superior, broad margins and dark design details. The print quality is astounding, and the eye appeal is superb. In 2019, a Gem 65 note sold for a whopping $19,200 at public auction, and we would not be surprised if a similar or higher sum is needed to take this treasure home today.
