BELGIUM. Liège. St. Martins Church of Liège Bronze Medal, 1847. Geerts (Ixelles) Mint. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED. Ross-M32; Van Hoydonck-29; Reinecke-19; Bouhy-54. By J. & L. Wiener. Diameter: 50mm. Obverse: Perspective view of the church exterior from the south-southeast. Reverse: Interior of the church, looking eastward toward the choir, from an eyepoint just left of the main aisle centerline. The final medal in Wieners Belgian Churches series; it masterfully depicts the complex architectural details of the church interior and the glossy surfaces make this a very attractive specimen. Fine hairlines on the obverse are the only characteristic preventing a choice designation.
