Printed with black and green inks. PMG notes Small Tears. The Kings Mountain Railroad was 23 miles in length. The Kings Mountain Railroad Co. had capital stock of $200,000 and equipment of $100,000. The railroad was completed in 1852 and ran from Yorkville to Chest Court House. During the Civil War, the railroad was destroyed and not rebuilt until 1873. This advertising notes purpose was to raise funds for that rebuilding. A rare note that is only the second we have offered. The other was also Choice AU and brought $1,410 almost a decade ago.
