1860 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS). CAC. Antique charcoal-gray peripheral toning blends with lighter, more vivid, pink and gold iridescence toward the centers. Nicely mirrored in finish, with a razor sharp strike throughout. With a mintage of 1,330 pieces, it is likely less than half of these Proofs are around today. Here is one of the finer ones in terms of quality and eye appeal for the toning. Often these early Proofs were harshly cleaned or otherwise diminished in the eyes of numismatists, and finding a well preserved example like this is destined to delight the specialist who needs a specimen. PCGS# 7003. NGC ID: 252E. From the Huber Collection.
