Native Gold Specimen. Approximately 136.6 mm x 56.4 mm x 25.2 mm. 672.0 grams. A large and interesting specimen of nice heft. While an estimated 60% of the surface area of this piece is made up of the natural quartz matrix through which this vein of natural gold ran, both sides exhibit considerable gold ore. Most of the specimens we see with large quartz content have only a few flakes of gold or a small formation of gold extending from one side. This one seems to have a lot of gold running through it, and thus we suspect it was more central to the vein of gold ore, and thus likely has a substantial amount of gold within it.
