Native Gold Specimen. Approximately 45.6 mm x 33.2 mm x 7.2 mm. 73.6 grams. Smooth medium gold surfaces with some recesses that still show traces of rough texture. A very flattened form, but angular features speak to the internal crystalline structure. Gold forms in many different shapes in nature, often clear octahedrons or variations thereof. However, sometimes those basic structures are found flattened, intertwined, elongated or even in seemingly hollowed out forms. All are natural formations which give natural specimens a great deal of individual character. A small scratch is noted on one side, but is not distracting.
