Fr. 2000-I. 1928 $10 Federal Reserve Note. Minneapolis. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. A truly spectacular example of this numbered district Minneapolis note that is as fine as any note we have seen. Over the years auction catalogers have loosely bandied about the term "boardwalk margins" to notes with varying degrees of margin size. This note is truly deserving of that moniker. PMG has commented "Cut from Sheet," a really astounding revelation when one considers that all of these individual notes were at one time cut from a sheet. It is not as if this is a modern small size note that can easily have be cut from a sheet to have behemoth margins on all sides. We sold a Minneapolis $10 1928 sheet which would have been the previous sheet to the one that this note was found on. If you have any intention of winning this prize note, you will need to disregard the number that is found on the holder but rather bid with your heart.
