Fr. 1880-I*. 1929 $50 Federal Reserve Bank Star Note. Minneapolis. PMG Very Fine 25. One of the rarest FRBN star notes with only a few known. A printing of 12,000 certainly goes a long way in explaining the low survival rate. All of the known examples that have found there way into public auctions seem to have achieved some kind of Very Fine grade. These tend to realize some degree of multi-thousand dollar price, with tonights offering first bringing $6,900 in a 2005 sale. The first Minneapolis star that we have had the pleasure to sell.
