Pennsylvania--Philadelphia. (1829-1850) Set of (3) Theodore Dubosq Silver Spoons. Extremely Fine.6 inches each. 53.35 grams total. All three examples marked T.DUBOSQ in an incuse rectangular punch on the back. Script monogram MM on the handle face, each piece with light iridescent patina. A fine set of attractive spoons by this maker who is much more famous for the extremely rare Dubosq & Company gold coins of San Francisco. Dubosq arrived in San Francisco on May 18, 1849. While his coining experiment was short lived and survivors very costly to acquire (and nearly impossible to find!), his silver wares from his previous days in Philadelphia are much more available. As such, these make nice fillers for a collection of Territorials.
