1881-O. NGC graded MS-61. CAC. Well struck and mostly untoned save for a few traces of coppery gold hues. The strike is sharp throughout, and the surfaces show the expected scattered handling marks primarily in the fields. This is a very rare date. Precious few survive at all (about 225 pieces according to <I>CoinFacts</I>) and this is tied with best seen. Finding an example of this date in any grade is a real challenge. Only 8,350 struck. Pop 8; tied for the finest examples graded at both services. (PCGS # 8693) <DOTLEADER> Estimated Value $15,000 - UP
