1869 Liberty Seated Half Dime. V-2. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC.Brilliant apart from the lightest pale silver tinting, this beautiful coin allows full appreciation of intense mint luster. The finish is predominantly frosty in texture, although direct lighting does call forth modest hints of semi-reflectivity from the fields. Sharply defined in most areas and expertly preserved in all regards. Despite a mintage of 208,000 coins, which is far greater than that of the preceding six circulation strike half dime issues from the Philadelphia Mint, the 1869 is quite scarce in Mint State. Premium quality Gems such as this are rare and eagerly sought by high grade type collectors as well as advanced collectors of Liberty Seated coinage.<p>The obverse die from which this coin was struck has the shield point left of the digit 1 in the date, the pendant over the left side of the 6.
