Manhasset, New York. 1902 Plain Back $5 Fr. 607. The First NB. Charter #11924. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ.A dozen large size notes are known for this coveted Nassau County institution. The bank opened in 1921 and stayed in business through the 1935 ending period. A bank that only produced $5 notes, with a pithy $355 large remaining outstanding. A real charmer that has bright paper, wide margins, and boldly stamped signatures. This certainly is a note well deserving of PMGs coveted EPQ designation. We sold this same note for $2,400 in our 2018 ANA sale. Upon researching the census, as well as auction records, we have concluded that this is the finest large size example known. A fantastic example that should make the new owner proud to collect Long Island.
