CHINA. Ming Dynasty. 10 Cash, ND (1361-68). Nanking Mint. Zhu Yuanzhang, as Prince of Wu. Graded "80" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company. Hartill-20.47; FD-1888. Weight: 27.8 gms. Obverse: "Da Zhong tong bao"; Reverse: "Jing shi" (10 Cash) above and right. A nicely preserved and attractive example with even wear and naturally rough surface texture. The characters are fairly clear, though parts are obscured from earthen deposits in the crevasses. Minor evidence of conservation amongst the devices to enhance the legibility of the characters, done tastefully and hardly distracting mentioned for accuracy. Overall a pleasing original example of the type sure to please. On September 1, 2019, the United States enacted new tariffs on collectors items manufactured in China.
