1794 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-9. Rarity-2. High-Relief Head. Genuine. VF Details--Altered Surfaces (PCGS). Otherwise uniformly bold VF detail wanes over the lower right reverse, where the letters ICA in AMERICA and surrounding features are faint, yet still discernible. Evenly patinated in deep olive-copper, the surfaces are microscopically rough overall with a few marks on Libertys cheek as well as on the reverse in the center and around the denomination 1/200. Cohen-9 vies with C-2a as the most available die marriage of the 1794 Liberty Cap half cent. The present example is well suited for a type collector on a budget. Manley Die State 2.0.
