拍品描述： Fr. 1225h. 1900 $10,000 Gold Certificate. PMG Extremely Fine 40.Broad margins and good color are featured on this impressive $10,000 Gold Certificate. Only light traces of circulation are noticed. These notes survive today due to a fire at the Washington D.C. post office where they were being stored on December 13, 1935. In an effort to rid the fire of fuel to burn, papers were tossed from windows with these $10,000 Gold Certificates raining down with them.
