GA-62. Georgia. 1776. 6 Pence. PMG About Uncirculated 50 EPQ.Sterling issue. Signed by Gibbons and OBryen. A pleasing Georgia colonial that has a single center fold to account for the grade. At PMG there is one note equal and one that is finer than this note. That Top Pop note, which grades PMG AU 58 EPQ, does not have a signature yet still managed to realize $1,200 less than a year ago at auction. This same note first sold for over $1,600 over a decade ago. Widely margined, fresh and bright, with full ornamentation visible. Any nearly uncirculated Georgia colonial that is not from the 1778 issue is a note to keep close and treasure.
