It issued over $3,200,00 during its 62 years of business. It opened 9 years after the beginning of the national banking era in 1874 and closed its doors at the very end, in 1935. At the time of close, a mere $9,295 remained outstanding. This highly ornate Five Dollar First Charter design which shows here with strictly original paper and strong inks throughout. Well embossed overprints are easily seen through the intricate back layout and sharp signatures further the appeal.
