Lebanon, Indiana. $20 1875. Fr. 435. The Lebanon NB. Charter #2660. PMG Very Fine 25.This Lebanon bank was chartered in 1882 and oddly enough issued only First Charter and Third Charter notes in the form of Series of 1875 notes then later Series of 1902 Red Seals and Date Backs. This Series of 1875 $20 displays even circulation and bold overprint inks. The signatures of bank officers Lane and Daily are neatly penned and clearly legible. The bank was liquidated in October of 1910 after issuing a total of $482,350 worth of National Currency into circulation.
