EF Details--Altered Surfaces (PCGS).This is a rather appealing coin for the assigned grade, with both sides exhibiting olive-gold patina with lighter khaki highpoints. Boldly defined, as well, overall light pitting to both sides provides a somewhat matte-like texture that explains the PCGS qualifier. The 1800 BD-5 and BD-2 varieties are perennial favorites among advanced gold collectors seeking a single example of the Capped Bust Right, Heraldic Eagle five-dollar gold type as they are the most common varieties of the date.
