1902年天津都统衙门铜章。J. Chevt设计，天赏堂製造。这枚稀罕铜章由1900-1902年殖民天津的七国军政府下令铸造。正面外圈为法语铭文，内有德、美、法、英、意、日、俄七国国旗，日期居下；背面中文"天津都统衙门"，外圈为橡木和月桂树花环。本拍品为铜製，但当时亦铸有银製及金製同款。有理由相信，金章用以赠予七国政要，而铜章则极有可能仅用以赠与本地官员、低级官员或参与占领天津的成员。本行曾经手过数枚金章及银章，却是首次经手铜章。此拍品边缘有些许不甚明显的划痕，或为仅获Details评级的原因。虽有此瑕疵，但仍不失赏心悦目。
CHINA. Tientsin Tutung Yamen Bronze Medal, 1902. PCGS Genuine--Repaired, Unc Details Gold Shield。L&M-994; cf.Li-pg 90. By J. Chevt and struck by TENSHODO. RARE bronze medal struck by the seven member provisional military government which controlled Tientsin ca. 1900-02. The obverse records this provisional government with a legend in French around enamel flags of Germany, United States, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and Russia with the dates of its existence below; Reverse: Two line inscription within wreath of oak and laurel. While it was struck in bronze, silver and gold it is believed that the gold versions were only presented to the foreign dignitaries of the provisional government meaning this bronze example would have been presented to either a local or low ranking official or possibly someone who was present during the siege. We have handled several examples of the gold and silver version of this medal, but is the first example in bronze that we can recall seeing. Several small unobtrusive scratches on the edge hardly noticeable could be why this example was given a details designation. Despite its shortcomings a handsome well executed example with a nice look。
