1916-D Barber Quarter. MS-67 (PCGS).Brilliant apart from wisps of pale golden iridescence, this intensely lustrous, boldly to sharply struck example makes a strong impression in all regards. Produced in generous numbers (6,540,800 pieces) and saved in significant numbers as a final year issue, the 1916-D is one of the more popular Barber quarters among Mint State type collectors. Precious few, however, are the coins that have been handled with enough care to grade MS-67 at PCGS.
