1894 Indian Cent. MS-66 RD (PCGS).Splendid rose-orange color is seen across both sides, with the obverse the more vivid of the two. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are smooth and lustrous, with a satin to softly frosted finish. Production for this denomination dipped to 16,749,500 circulation strikes in 1894, down more than 29 million coins from the preceding year. In an absolute sense the 1894 is the scarcest Philadelphia Mint Indian cent from the 1890s and 1900s, and the example offered here is sure to see spirited bidding.
