拍品描述： 1895年3月宜昌寄上海无贴票公务封, (封上端的为女皇陛下服务英文字被划去), 封面盖有黑色椭圆PAID戳, 其右下盖宜昌双圈中英文无日期小圆戳, 封背盖3月8日汉口工部日戳,部邮差手写记号, 及另一枚宜昌双圈小圆戳, 信封边佳有皱及一些摺痕; 这是商埠邮资己付封中最为稀罕者, 保存完整, 珍贵的邮史素材.1966年11月周炜良; 著作: 1981年上海邮政系统 (The Shanghai Postal System) Charles Dougan. 137页插图; Ichang Covers Official Mail 1895 (Mar.) large, stampless official envelope (On Her Majestys Service crossed out) to Baron Gunzburg in Shanghai bearing a fine strike of the "PAID" in oval handstamp struck in black with a very good strike of the double-circle "ichang/post office" handstamp alongside, a further strike on the reverse with Hankow Local Post c.d.s. (8.3) in blue, indistinct Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. and the postmans pencil delivery notation. There is a vertical fold to one side and some light soiling which is mainly confined to the reverse. This is one of the rarest of the Treaty Port Paid markings. A fine and very scarce cover. Photo
