The first six dates of issue, all the series N Specimens, of this P-389 design type in violet and green: 1941, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, and 1949. All with red 00000 serial numbers and SPECIMEN across. All are Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ (5) except the 1944 which is Choice About Uncirculated 58 EPQ. Most of these Specimen notes are apparently ex Amon Carter, Jr. collection. An impressive offering of a beautifully matched and balanced sextet.
